143…

(miniflash story)

This morning seemed difficult. Of course, when you drink more than one glass of whiskey, the likelihood of having a rough morning increases. But you have to wake up.

There is a phone on the table. It is surprising that it still holds a charge, because yesterday it was 10%. The screen flickered – probably there are more messages than there are people on the entire planet Earth. I pick up the phone, go to the messenger, read:

‘Hello, darling! I know you’re dying now, so I left the pills on the table next to the kettle. Don’t forget to eat! Have a nice day! 143.’

With a slight smile, I go to the kitchen to get the promised pills. There was a glass of water and a small plate with croissants on the table.

‘1432.’ …I love you too…
