(Christmas story)

Denys was an ordinary man who loved his family and delicious dinners. But Denys had one trait — he did not believe in miracles and magic of Christmas. “I do not understand why God turned into a man. This is a common day, dear!” always said the man to his wife Suzanne. But one event completely changed his life…

To please the children, Denys decided to bring a Christmas tree from the forest. The weather was frosty and sunny, but in the evening a blizzard got wailing and wauling. Denys chose and cut the best fir-tree, and was about to come back to home when he realized that he did not know the right direction. Snow was falling on his face, and he could not find a way out of the dense woods. An hour passed and the man began to panic. Some hallucinations started chasing him…

“God, don’t let me get lost. If you exist, help me to believe in your miracles!” asked Denys looking at the dark sky. And suddenly he saw a striking star moving to the south. Being frozen to his bones, Denys forgot about everything and followed it with fits of despair. In an hour he found himself near his house. The blizzard unexpectedly subsided and thousands of bright stars appeared in the sky…

Tired Denys went into the house and happily said to his anxious family, “I have already understood the miracle of Christmas. I got your meaning! Merry Christmas!”
