Good Morning, Kyiv!

(essay)

My body doesn’t listen to me. My muscles refuse to work. My swollen eyelids make it hard to see the world. The force of gravity pulls me down with increasing power.

What can I do? Darkness looks into the eyes through the lifted eyelids. It’s so hard to get through it. It’s not so bad here; it only gets hard when you want to get out of the cobweb of the bed. After all, the alarm clock screams throughout the apartment. It’s off the wall to get up early, but not turning off a loud alarm clock for a long time is life-threatening.
