(Book Review)

5 stars. Not too long ago I read a book I was given. In spite of the fact that I do not read too much, the novel “I am Legend” came to my mind. The author of this book was Richard Matheson, a famous science fiction writer. And I really liked the style of his writing.

The novel “I am a Legend” offers the reader a world of post-apocalypse, which is inhabited by beings most desirous of only one – blood. The only non-vampire left is the protagonist, Robert Neville, who is trying hard not to lose his mind and his life. “In the world of monotonous horror there could be no salvation in wild dreaming.” Monotonous horror…No salvation…Wild…

The plot opens and twists with each section of this book. Readers expect thrilling moments and incredible twists and turns of the story. The author skillfully reveals the main characters, exploring the depths of the mind of a person who is losing hope.

But the novel also has its drawbacks. For example, perseverance. Sometimes the plot broadcasts a wasteland in which nothing happens. Another downside is the sharp leaps from topic to topic that can confuse a potential reader. But despite all that I recommend it, I will continue to recommend this book for reading.
