During the long winter holidays, I do recommend watching the following Christmas movies. In my opinion, they are the best from those which really raise your Merry Christmas spirit!

Holidate – an American romantic comedy of 2020. Starring Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey. The film was released on Netflix on October 28, 2020.

Plot

Sloan is a girl from Chicago who hates holidays because she condemns her family for not being in a relationship. One day she meets Jackson, an Australian golfer who is not interested in a serious relationship. They make an agreement that they will maintain friendly relations during the year and meet only on holidays.

Last Christmas is an American-British romantic comedy film. The film is inspired by George Michael’s famous hit “Last Christmas.” This film changed me a lot. Undoubtedly it melt my heart and made me kinder. The premiere in Ukraine took place on January 1, 2020.

Plot

Kate does not have the most pleasant memories of Christmas. Last year, she became very ill and almost died, after which something changed in her. She became almost indifferent to this world, and her own destiny does not worry at all. The girl is self-contained, likes to drink well, and now earns a living in a Christmas shop in an elf costume. Loneliness, lack of normal housing and an incredibly caring mother – what else is needed for the “happiness” of a young girl? It would have lasted for years if Kate had not met a very handsome guy named Tom.

“The Adventures of St. Nicholas” – a Ukrainian family comedy, premiered on December 13, 2018. The film tells about the adventures of a second-grader Artem and his teenage sister in a Carpathian village on the eve of St. Nicholas Day.

Plot

Ukrainian Carpathians. On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, Nicholas himself suddenly appears to second-grader Artem. In fact, he is a thief in a magician’s suit. The boy, together with his teenage sister and a local child, will have to show real courage, solidarity and ingenuity to defeat the thief and save the real Super Nicholas.

A Christmas Carol is a multi-level and emotional adventure film premiered 2009.

Plot

This is a Victorian instructive story about an old cruel miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who experiences a test of deep cleansing for one night. Mr. Scrooge is a financier / money changer who has dedicated his entire life to accumulating wealth. He despises everything but money, including friendship, love, and the Christmas holidays.

“Polar Express” is a children’s cartoon made in the technique of 3D computer animation by Robert Zemekis in 2004.

Plot

This is a story about a boy who doubts the existence of Santa Claus. Once on the mysterious “Polar Express” heading to the North Pole. And as Christmas night falls into a dormant world, high-speed train passengers rush to the North Pole, encountering on their way adventures and dangers that lie in wait for them in the dark forests, sinister mountains and icy tundra.
