VEGAN COSMETICS AND EXPERIMENTS ON HUMANS ARE THE SAME THING: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Vegan cosmetics – sounds so natural and pure. But is it? We asked Oksana Shramko – the head technologist at “White Sprut”, the organic, vegan, glycerin & cruelty-free cosmetics.

“Cosmetics are usually tested on animals to identify irritating factors and carcinogenicity. We only use organic certified high-quality raw material, therefore, animal testing is irrelevant for us. To confirm claimed property we test cosmetics on our clients (with their consent, of course). We invite customers to participate in studies in our hair salon, or they can conduct their own tests at home and give us feedback.”

We figured out that for vegan products technologists use organic high-quality oils such as grape seed oil, wheat germ oil, vitamins, specifically, A and B. As moisturizing and extra care ingredients, they only use organic raw material, for instance, inulin (from Jerusalem artichoke or chicory), betaine (from beetroot). Purely cosmetic ingredients (emulsifiers, preservatives) are organic too.

So… We don`t have to be afraid, do we?
