Salvador Dali, a splendid surrealistic painter, was a famous socialite of his time. He befriended with the most popular writers, musicians and fashion designers.

Often his works bordered on fashion, and his close friend was the eminent Elsa Schiaparelli (Italian fashion designer). Therefore, it is not surprising that he was invited to be the author of the covers of such popular and already authoritative fashion publications as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. From 1939 to 1971, Dali created six unique covers for Vogue, which are still considered masterpieces in the fashion history.
