Yakaboo — online store selling books is a leader in book sales. Illusion or reality? If you ask any Ukrainian who reads and buys books, one of the first online stores that comes to mind will be Yakaboo. Yakaboo is a national book platform where you can find more than 300,000 books in 71 languages in paper, electronic or audio formats. More than 3 million customers use the store’s services and products. They also cooperate with more than 500 Ukrainian and foreign publishing houses. Really huge volumes of cooperation, isn’t it? In fact, the company’s work plays a huge role in the social life of the country because such a huge online store is and will be a reason to be proud of it.

In reality, Yakaboo can be compared with the world’s bookstores. If we come to the history of the store, they started selling books only in 2009, and more than 10 years after they gained the recognition and trust of their numerous customers. It happened in 2022 that the online bookstore became the most popular in Ukraine and its services were and would be used by many people, both Ukrainians and foreigners.

It is important to note that in 2018, the store won the E-Awards 2018: ‘Customers’ Choice’ award in the “Best Online Book Store” category. And in 2020, it received the Ukrainian People’s Prize in the nomination “Online Bookstore of the Year.” After listing a number of facts, we can draw obvious conclusions that the Yakaboo online store is indeed the leader in book sales in Ukraine. This, at least, confirms the reward received by the store.

All the store’s work is reflected in Yakaboo`s mission and its mission is to make Ukraine the most literate country in Europe! Because they popularize reading, support Ukrainian publishing houses and authors, develop Ukrainian books. We hope that the store’s dreams will come true, and Ukraine will truly become the country where books are read the most. But for now we just have to wait for some statistics about the most reading countries, at least, in Europe.
