‘All In Your Hands’

(book review)

If you are first you are first. If you are second, you are nothing.”
―
Pele

The book entitled as ‘All in your hands’ is the autobiography of the legendary football player of ‘Dynamo’ (Kyiv)’ and the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Shovkovskiy.

In this book Oleksandr talks about his great football career. A few people know that the glorious goalkeeper’s career began with a dream and faith that he should devote all his life exclusively to football.

The autobiography of Oleksandr Shovkovskiy is much more than a chronology of life events. It is full of slice-of-life warm stories about childhood of the goalkeeper and important people surrounding him. There are dramatic tales about the years of despondency and solitude. The book gives a deep reflection on the reasons for the ups and downs.

It presents an unbiased analysis of various gaffes, mistakes, and peccadilloes made by the stunning sportsman from Ukraine. There are riveting revelations about the ability to make choices and the art of prioritization. So it is a sort of the successful story achieved at a difficult price. Surely, this is a book about Big Football and numerous hobbies of the author. Without football there would be no Oleksandr Shovkovskiy. Without hobbies there wouldn`t be this gorgeous goalkeeper too.

So, I recommend reading this book and experiencing all these emotions for yourself.

My rating is 9.5/10.
