(humorous short story)

Max saw two familiar girlish silhouettes standing in the hall of the magical school and immediately ran to them.

“Morning, beauties,” he greeted them, winking at them both, and soon after that received a displeased glance of deeply brown eyes from Ksenia and a “yeah, long time no see,” from Yasya. “Why are you so unfriendly? Actually, I even missed you.”

“By the way, you won’t believe how I got here!” the guy continued loudly as they were standing right in the middle of the spacious main hall, filled with lots of students, who wanted to chill from their classes or to practice some magic techniques.

“If you’re talking about the portal, we’ll believe it,” the redhead snorted ironically, but Max didn’t react and continued.

“Anyway, Ive gone to Lviv Croissants for breakfast, made an order, got my check. Then I went to my seat… Just imagine: I was sitting there. I look at the receipt and it says: ‘To make the rest of your day happy, go to the toilet as soon as you read this.’ I thought: ‘Well, why not? Ive wanted to do it anyway.’ So I went to the toilet cubicle…”

“Oh, God, for God’s sake, don’t continue… Or at least do it quieter,” tried to stop the flow of enthusiasm Ksenia, who, unlike the boy, who was enthralled by the story, noticed the slanting glances of some of the students. But Max couldn’t help himself: the more enthusiastic he was, the louder his voice sounded. “I was taking off my pants, absolutely ready to, as they say, answer nature’s call, when this portal appeared and CUT ME OFF… AGAIN, IT DIDN’T GIVE ME A PEE!!!” – it was too quiet in the hall. Why was it so quiet?

The guy turned around and saw that all the people in the hall were looking at him.

“I don’t know him,” Yasya stepped back a few steps from Max.

“Don’t embarrass me, we’re leaving,” Ksenia grabbed girls by the hands, rolling her eyes hard, and dragged them up the stairs. Max didn’t even try to resist, and his whole body was shaking from a fit of laughter, rather hysterical: how could he have disgraced himself like that?
