BookFashion is a national festival for school and university students. It invites young people to create and share short videos online to promote books and reading.

On May 15, 2025, the 10th anniversary of the BookFashion festival took place at the Department of Media Production and Publishing at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University. The event brought together people who love books, visual art, and creative expression.

This year’s program had 10 categories: school literature, fiction, children’s books, nonfiction, fantasy, patriotic books, video poetry and reading promotion. Anyone could take part so the audience saw videos from people of different ages and from all over Ukraine. This open format helped create a friendly, inspiring and respectful atmosphere.

Participants made videos in many styles − animation, short films, presentations or stand-up ( storytelling directly in front of the camera) formats. They shared their work on social media with the hashtags #bookfashion and #grinchenkouniversity. You can find their videos on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

The happy participants shared their thoughts, took photos, thanked the organizers and enjoyed being part of this cultural project. Many said the festival gave them confidence, creative energy and motivation to follow their dreams

BookFashion 2025 shows that Ukrainian books are alive and growing − and that young people are ready to talk about them in a modern way, using images and video stories that touch the heart.
