Buzzville: The Insect Festival

(fairy tale)

Deep in the tall grass, where humans never look, there was a hidden village called Buzzville. It was home to insects of every kind—ants, bees, ladybugs, beetles, butterflies, and even a shy praying mantis.

Every year, they held the Grand Insect Festival to celebrate their world and how different bugs could live in harmony. There were races on dragonfly wings, leaf-boat sailing, and a honey-tasting contest hosted by the bees.

This year, little Benny the Beetle wanted to play a song at the festival—but everyone told him beetles weren’t good musicians.

Still, Benny practiced every day with a tiny guitar made from a walnut shell and spider silk strings.

On the night of the festival, the lights from glowing fireflies filled the air, and the music began. When Benny stepped onto the mushroom stage, he was nervous—but as soon as he played, the whole village went silent, then burst into cheers.

That night, Buzzville danced under the stars, and Benny the Beetle learned that even the smallest wings can carry the biggest dreams.
