‘Flesh and Fire,’ Book 2: ‘Light in the Flame’ by Jennifer L. Armentrout

(book review)

“You are the heir to the lands and seas, the heavens and all kingdoms. Queen, not king. You are Eternal Life, – croaked Nikos.” – by Jennifer L. Armentrout

‘Flesh and Fire, Book 2: Light in the Flame’

‘Light in the Flames’ is the second book in the series ‘Flesh and Fire.’

The truth about Sera’s plan comes to light, destroying the fragile trust that has grown between her and Niktos. Serra is surrounded by those who do not trust her, and all she has left is her duty. She is willing to do anything to destroy Kolis, the false king of the gods, and end his tyrannical rule in Ilisium, thereby removing the threat he poses to the mortal world. However, Niktos has his own plan, and when they begin to interact, the last thing they need is the unbridled, burning passion that continues to flare between them. Sera cannot allow herself to fall in love with the cruel Eternal, not when her life is no longer tied to a fate she never wanted.

The book is very exciting and eventful, but as you reach the middle of the book, it becomes more and more boring, the chapters become “watery” and meaningless. But knowing the author, she can twist things around at the end so that your brain explodes, so I plan to finish reading it anyway.

My rating is 9/10.
