What was supposed to happen happened. The incredibly powerful, eccentrically effective, and unpredictably successful Donald Trump came to power on the wave of big and small political scandals as the 47^th president of the USA. The Man representing the Wild West Force and New York Business Shark Spirit, Showbiz razzle-dazzle and Old America Values, couldn`t have been defeated. Americans like heroes, especially those who can swim against the flow. So Donald Trump hit the bull`s eye of public expectations, fuelled by high inflation rates, the crime surge and irritation of automobile makers and oil drillers.   

Now, nobody calls the newly chosen President of the USA ‘the Tangerine Tornado,’ ‘the Apricot Anarchist’ or ‘the Orange McDuck.’ All these nicknames with dozens of others got lost in the post-election oblivion; ‘The MAGA Maestro’ (Make America Great Again) and ‘Daddy`s home’ come to the foreground. Victory breeds respect and respect breeds success. Donald Trump knows about it… So what issues came into the spotlight of the newly chosen President of the USA?  We will dwell only on the most crucial and vital ones, bypassing some of them looking a bit controversial.

Immigration. Declaring a National Emergency at the Southern Border of the USA (Presidential action). Designating cartels and other organizations as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists (Executive order). Securing our borders (Executive order). One of the keywords characterizing the mentality of Northern Americans is SAFETY. According to the statistics presented by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for 2023-2024, 71,141 murders, assaults and rapes were committed by noncitizens of the USA, not speaking about additional 226,847 criminal charges, including drug dealing, faced by illegal immigrants during the same period. It is not surprising that such dramatic criminal situation can`t leave millions of Americans indifferent and nonchalant.

Withdrawal from international climate agreement. Introduction of new energy and environmental policies. . Putting America First in International Environmental Agreements (Executive order relating to the Paris Climate Agreement). Declaring a national energy emergency (Executive order). These presidential actions lead to the reinstatement of fossil fuel drilling and the reversal of the electric vehicle mandate. The economic effects of these actions will be multifaceted, including lower energy prices, promoting job creation in the oil and gas sector, transportation, logistics, car making companies, through revival of Michigan industrial life and its ‘Big Three’ major automobile manufacturers: General Motors, producing  Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac; Ford Motor Company, making Ford and Lincoln brands; Stellantis North America Group, responsible for such brands as Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram cars. In the previous presidency of Donald Trump, the USA gained 7 million new jobs, the middle-class family income increased nearly $6,000 and the unemployment and poverty rates reached record lows. The newly adopted presidential actions can lead to the same effects, or even higher economic indicators.

Artificial Intelligence Investment. All together, the administration of the 47^th President plans to invest more than $500 billion in AI development and its infrastructure. This stunning sum serves as a signal for the whole world to do the same steps in AI upgrading and promoting and to refuse from the tactics of Ostrich with hidden heads and closed eyes to the ongoing advance of AI with all its minuses and pluses.

The promise to stop all wars. Though Ukraine was not mentioned directly, the idea of stopping the war in 100 days, as it was ordered to the special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, sounds good. Kurt Volker, a former US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations from 2017 to 2019, thinks that after the call of Donald Trump to the Kremlin, he will get a refusal to stop the war immediately and it will force the new administration of the White House to resort to power, and to put all cards on the table.

I guess that such a scenario is quite possible – aggressive US diplomacy, additional cruel sanctions against Russian banks and oil companies, some unexpected military steps could help Ukraine to start peaceful negotiations with its hostile and law-breaking northern neighbor. The key moment, the lobbyists of Ukrainian interests should work in Washington day and night, week-by-week and month-by-month, to remind American senators and congressmen about Ukraine, the bloody war on its territory and the necessity to stop it.

P.S. Donald Trump dislikes military uniforms, he prefers business suits. So, for Ukrainian delegations visiting the USA, it is desirable to shave better and to adhere to the formal dress code so as not to look like a fish out of water.
