Since I am already finishing the 3rd year of my student life, I have some advice for you.

To begin with, I will tell you about myself. I am Kateryna, I have been studying to be a journalist for 3 years. Everything would have been fine if we had not spent these 3 years on distance learning (we studied offline for only a few weeks).

So, my advice for future students:

1) Get rid of the syndrome of excellent students. This is the MOST important rule, because believe me, it will be difficult later. The university is not a school, the teachers know you and can sometimes turn a blind eye to mistakes. At the university, you need to work, but not to make yourself miserable. Work for knowledge, not grades. The university is not a prison, but a place of your pleasure, so forget about your “excellent syndrome”.

2) Do not be afraid of acquaintances. It was difficult for me to get to know people, because I came from a small town to the capital, I didn’t know anyone or anything, and I was very afraid that they wouldn’t get to know me. But, fortunately, on the first day of our University education, a girl came to meet me, and now we are best friends. Over time, we started talking to a few more girls, so now we have a group of 6 girlfriends who met at university. Therefore, do not be afraid to get to know each other, because they can be your best friends for life.

3) Participate in activities. In fact, this is a very cool opportunity to meet someone, learn something new, and gain new skills. Do not ignore all kinds of volunteer projects, because they can affect your success. Personally, my curator constantly sends us various opportunities, because this is a very cool experience in life.

We will finish with this. Learn for fun, live life and donate funds to our Army. Ukrainian Armed Forces, Forever!
