Once upon a time, in the charming town of Hostomel, lived Vasyl and Vlada Vovchenko. Vasyl adored baking pies, especially his famous peach pie with its golden crust and sweet filling. Vlada, on the other hand, had a passion for painting pictures of pets, like the peacock she had captured perched on a picket fence in her latest masterpiece.

One bright morning, as Vasyl prepared to bake his prized peach pie, he discovered it had vanished from the kitchen counter! Perplexed, he called out to Vlada, who was busy putting the finishing touches on her peacock painting. Together, they searched high and low, turning the kitchen upside down and peering into every nook and cranny.

After a frantic search, Vasyl spotted a glimmer of golden crust peeking out from under a patch of petunias in their garden. A pesky pigeon had found the pie and taken a nibble! Vasyl shooed the pigeon away, while Vlada giggled at the sight of the bird flapping its wings in protest.

They decided to enjoy what was left of the pie on their porch, laughing about the peculiar adventure they had just experienced. Vlada even painted a quick sketch of the pigeon, turning their mishap into a memorable moment captured on canvas.

From that day on, Vasyl and Vlada Vovchenko took extra care to keep their pies safe from curious critters. Vasyl installed a new pie safe in the kitchen, and Vlada made sure her paintings were hung out of reach of any wandering pigeons.

As they continued living in Hostomel, Vasyl delighted the town with his delicious pies, and Vlada charmed everyone with her whimsical pet portraits. Their home became a haven of laughter and creativity, where pies were savored and paintings admired.
