Rapunzel’s Magic

(derailed fairy tale)

Once upon a time, there was a man and a woman who dreamed of having a child for a long time. One day, the woman fell ill and saw a beautiful plant in a neighboring garden — a rapunzel. She really wanted to eat it. Her husband, wanting to help his wife, secretly snuck into the garden, which belonged to an evil witch, and stole some rapunzel. The woman was immediately relieved, but she wanted more. The man went to the garden again, but this time the witch caught him.

The witch allowed him to take more Rapunzel, but on the condition that they would give her their unborn child. The frightened man agreed.

When their daughter was born, the sorceress came and took her away, naming the girl as Rapunzel, in honor of the same plant. She locked the girl in a tall tower with no doors and only one small window. Rapunzel grew up with extremely long hair, which the witch used to climb up to her.

Thus, the Rapunzel plant became not only the beginning of the girl’s adventures, but also a symbol of the magical trials in her life…

Seeing that nobody was going to set her free to marry the unhappy blonde girl with a long braid, Rapunzel asked the witch to teach her magic tricks to help the ‘old lady’ in the future. And this long-awaited day had come! Being drunk as an Irish docker, the witch didn`t notice as Rapunzel added some potion in her booze and turned the old hag into a freaky frog. After that she climbed back, found the lazy prince picking his nose and counting the ravens, and turned him into a guy with a generous soul and open heart who immediately offered Rapunzel his hand and heart. After that, they lived happily together, not forgetting to feed the fusty frog from time to time.
