Lily — a small green frog who lived by a quiet pond. She was different from other frogs. While they spent their days swimming and catching flies, Lily loved to watch the beautiful colors around her – the blue water, the yellow flowers, and the orange sunset.

One day, Lily found some colorful pencils near the pond. A child had dropped it there after drawing on the stones. Lily picked up a blue pencil with her small webbed hands and tried to draw on a flat rock.

“I want to learn how to draw,” she said.

The other frogs saw her and started laughing. “Frogs don’t draw!” said the biggest frog. “Frogs swim and eat bugs”.

“Drawing is not for frogs,” said another frog. “You should learn to catch flies better instead.”

But Lily didn’t listen. Every day, she practiced drawing on the rocks by the pond. First, she drew simple lines. Then she tried to draw circles. It was very hard because her hands were small and wet, but she never gave up.

The other frogs continued to laugh at her. “Look at Lily! She thinks she’s an artist,” they would say. “What a funny frog!” She drew flowers, trees, and clouds. Slowly, her drawings got better and better.

After many weeks of practice, Lily decided to try something special. She wanted to draw herself – a self-portrait. She found a big, smooth rock and started working carefully.

She draw her round green head, her big eyes, and her wide mouth. She added her small hands and feet. It took her all day, but when she finished, it looked like her.

The next morning, all the frogs came to see what Lily was doing. When they saw her self-portrait, they were amazed. The drawing was beautiful and looked like Lily.

“Wow!” sais anothers frogs. “This is amaizing! You really can draw!”

From that day on, the other frogs respected Lily’s talent. She became the pond’s first artist, and she was very proud of herself. Lily learned that if you believe in your dreams and work hard, you can achieve anything, and soon the whole pond was full of colorful artwork.
