The Brave Heart of a Little Mouse

(miniash story)

In a cozy corner of an old house lived a little gray mouse named Fluy. He was the youngest in a large mouse family and, unlike his brothers and sisters, was afraid of absolutely everything: the rustling of leaves outside the window, the creaking of the oor, even his own shadow.

“Why am I such a coward?” the little mouse would sigh every evening, wrapping himself in his small blanket made of soft fluff.

One day, Fluy heard his mother telling a story about his grandfather – the bravest mouse in their family’s history. He had saved an entire mouse colony from starvation by nding a path to the pantry through a dangerous basement where a huge cat lived.

“I want to be that brave too!” Fluy decided and began training the next morning.

First, he forced himself to peek out of the hole during daylight. His heart was pounding, his paws were trembling, but he did it! Then he learned to run across the sunlit room, although before he would only go out at night.

Each day, Fluy set new challenges for himself. He learned not to fear the vacuum cleaner noise, stopped hiding from the TV sound, and even dared to approach the window when the wind was howling behind it.

But the real test was yet to come. One day, Fluy heard his little sister crying: her favorite bead had rolled under the wardrobe, where it was dark and scary.

Fluy felt his whiskers trembling with fear, but remembered his brave great-grandfather and told himself:
“True courage is when you do something despite being afraid.

” Taking a deep breath, he crawled under the wardrobe. It was dark, and dust tickled his nose, but Fluy didn’t give up. He moved further and further until he felt the bead. After retrieving it, he became a hero to his little sister.

From that day on, everyone noticed how Fluy had changed. He was still afraid of some things, but now he knew: being brave doesn’t mean being fearless. Being brave means being able to overcome your fear for a good cause.

Now, when little mice asked their parents how to become brave, they would tell them the story of Fluy, who taught everyone that anyone can become fearless if they really want to and work hard on themselves.

And Fluy? He grew up to become the most respected resident of the mouse colony. And although his fur turned gray, his heart forever remained young and brave.
