Ever since I was a little girl, I have been imagining what my future would be like; these imaginations included my future husband, future job, and future home. You may say that your childish dream home differed greatly from what they would now want as an adult but for me, they go pretty hand in hand. In this essay, I plan to create a vivid image of the layout to which my prospective house will match because, this home will turn into reality in my future.

My dream is to live in a big detached house surrounded by a big garden full of flowers and trees. I wouldn’t like to live in an apartment with blocks of flats and rude neighbors sticking noses and making noises in the middle of the night. My dream house should be located outside the city, on the outskirts of the city where I can find true peace and happiness.

My house will consist of the ground and first floor: a cozy sitting-room, with a fireplace and wide windows on the ground floor.

The house of my dream must be a comfortable well-planned two-storied cottage in a modern style. It could be Art deco, Streamline-moderne, or Ukrainian-craftsman style, resembling modern rustic cabin house variant. Not so large of course. It should be situated in a quite ecologically clean place or street. In front of the house, I want a big shaggy dog in its own booth in our yard.

There should be bedrooms with the own separated bathrooms on the second floor and somebody’s study downstairs. The bathroom must be inspiring and good-looking: the walls are tiled in green; the washbasin and the toilet are light green. My towels should be also green. Also, my bedroom would reflect my inner world and privacy, so it would be painted with my favorite blue color. In my opinion, the celeste blue is the color of my inner feelings of harmony and peace. In short, I can say that the interior of my dream house should look like my spiritual world, so I’d decorate it in such a way that all the rooms, objects and colors would symbolize my true feelings. And a balcony with a small table for coffee also should be…Just imagine, a sparkling sunset and you sit with a cup of hot coffee in your hand on your own balcony…

Besides, I would like to have modern and unique brand-new furniture…

It is necessary that my house looks strong and well-defended with a well-built fence. There should be a lot of fruit trees and an oval pond with a fountain. An automatically controlled garage for my petite auto is also a good idea.
