(book review)
I’ve always been a predominantly happy person. At least that’s how it seemed to me. But by and large, if you dig deeper, dissatisfaction always crawled out – with my own life, personal qualities, the speed with which I walked, and even with the structure of the world. I’ve always wanted more.
I wanted to change, but I didn’t know how. Until I got my hands on Joe Dispenza’s book ‘The Power of the Subconscious.’ From the first line, I realized that this is the book that will change my life. At every stage of my development, I come across a similar text. This was the third time in my life.
I will not tell you what this book is about — you want it, read it yourself, especially since the annotation is quite accurate. I will just share what happened to me thanks to a couple of hundred pages.
I started to meditate. Six months ago, I would have laughed. Fair. It would make me laugh at the thought of sitting with a soulful face and a straight back and pretending to be an enlightened one. It was just that I didn’t understand what meditation was. It’s not about a flat back. Not about enlightenment. This is a pragmatic, highly effective way to achieve a healthy state of mind for you and attract all kinds of goodies into your life.
When I started — without special expectations — I could not even imagine how fast the reality around me would begin to change. It’s incredible. You adjust your thoughts and emotions, turn off the usual stress mode, and suddenly bam! Do you remember how in the movie ‘Inception,’ the horizons change the plane?
You are no longer looking for answers – all the answers lie on the surface and are extremely simple. You are no longer looking for teachers – but you constantly meet those from whom you can learn something. You are pleased with your reflection in the mirror and the view from the window. You still want more – but now this desire has a completely different basis. You are not torn apart, the drama is gone, you are satisfied and grateful, and more is just a part of the path that the Universe lines up in front of you. You are not afraid of uncertainty, because uncertainty is millions of options. You build your destiny with joy and tranquility, but you don’t take on unnecessary responsibility, you don’t decide for the Universe, you don’t paint the future. You are ready for any surprises — even unpleasant ones. Not because you have become strong in spirit and ready for trials. Because the very concept of “unpleasant” and “trials” has ceased to exist for you.
It sounds incredible. But when you understand that you are pure energy — infinite and immortal — then you begin to perceive many things easier.
And the funniest thing is that there is no end and end to this journey.
Now, every time someone asks me for advice — for any reason — I suggest reading Joe Dispenza. My rating is 10/10.
