Maria is a very kind, thoughtful and sweet girl. But she has one problem – she is always late.

Maria has had this habit since childhood, and there has never been an important event for which she was on time. She was even late for her diploma defense at university, for which she almost failed. But she doesn`t think it`s a big problem. Maria has always gotten out of trouble because of her ability to get away with anything. But after one incident, she stopped being late at all.

Since her first year at university, Maria has dreamed of working for ‘Idea,’ the best marketing company. She studied hard at university to get the right education for her dream job. Maria took part in various projects and was an intern at some marketing companies. She did everything to get the job of her dreams.

Then one day, Maria saw a vacancy in her dream company and immediately sent her resume. The next day, she received a call and was invited to come in for an interview. Maria was very nervous before the interview and couldn`t sleep at night. That`s why she didn`t hear the alarm in the morning. Maria was terribly late, but she thought she could make up for it with her charisma.

That day everything was against her. As soon as Maria left the house, it started to rain, and she got soaked to the skin. Then she missed the bus and got caught in a traffic jam.

Maria was very worried and was running to the company`s office when she broke her heel! She limped to the office.

After giving her name to the manager, she heard that her interview had been canceled because she was late.

“But how can this be? I have a brilliant resume. I worked so hard to get this job! Could you give me one more chance?” Maria was almost in tears.

“You have a really great resume, Maria, but our company`s biggest value is time, and we demand that our employees value it too,” the manager replied.

Limping, in wet clothes and with tears in her eyes, poor Maria returned home. Having lost her chance to work for her dream company, she realized that she could never be late anymore. This was an important lesson for her.
