In the midst of war, when the issue of language and cultural heritage is acute, music plays an important role, and in times of war it takes on a special significance. Such performers as Mariia Dovgauk, Skofka, Kola impress millions of fans not only in Ukraine, but also around the world. It is not just entertainment, but a powerful tool with which people can protest against injustice, war, and occupation. Music becomes the voice of those who have lost the ability to speak, a melody of hope among the ruins, the rhythm of the struggle for freedom and dignity.

However, on the one hand, not every talented performer is able to promote their own product due to lack of funds, or lack of connections in the music business and insufficient support from the state. Ukrainian artists are forced to compete with popular foreign artists who have larger promotion budgets.

On the other hand, it is in these difficult conditions that true originality and identity are born. Limited resources force Ukrainian musicians to look for non-standard approaches to creativity and promotion, using social networks, crowdfunding platforms, and independent labels. This struggle for the audience’s attention is hardening the local music scene, making it more resilient and inventive.

Besides, many unknown young artists have begun to make music professionally to promote Ukrainian-language songs more actively, which shows a desire to support Ukrainian culture. The war has become a catalyst for many young talents who previously had no opportunity to express themselves. With the help of social media and streaming platforms, unknown artists began to become more popular, promoting Ukrainian music on various online platforms and making it clear that Ukrainian music can be no less interesting and modern than music from other countries.

Overall, the war gave birth to new stars in Ukraine’s music scene, proving that art and our culture are important components of the fight for independence.
