“A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself”
(Bible, Proverbs 11:17)
Nowadays, many people do not even think about the meaning of their lives and what they are doing right, and what is contrary to morality. We hurry to live and thus spend our lives in dubious pleasures and affairs, which are of no use to anyone. We often say something without thinking or make reckless hasty decisions that can lead to many problems. Almost every day we find ourselves in a situation where our actions bring trouble to someone, or simply offend the dignity of a person, or, conversely, other people bring us unnecessary worries and problems. According to the moral rules established in society, the one who is guilty before another must apologize. But experience shows that apologizing is sometimes not easy, but even harder to forgive if the offense was strong.
But in such cases, it is worth thinking not only about yourself but also about others. It is possible that the person who offended you did this unintentionally and is very worried about the situation. Sometimes there are times when the person who offended you apologized, and you apologized and believed her again, but it wasn’t long before she disappointed you again. But one should not think after that that all people are insidious and hypocritical. Yes, after such a situation it will be much harder to forgive, but you need to remember that all people are different and that even this person can really change and eventually become your best friend.
In my opinion, the inability to forgive brings a lot of suffering to a person. Therefore, in order to remain human and not lose our loved ones, we must learn to sincerely apologize. Caution in this matter is an integral part, as some people may take advantage of your kindness, so before you apologize to someone, you need to know if the person’s apology is sincere or if they may be selfish.
I also believe that by apologizing and apologizing we make our lives easier and happier. And the important point in these situations is sincerity, to another person and to yourself. Life is moving very fast and we should not waste our time on daily misunderstandings and insults. By harming someone, we can lose loved ones, which is why it is so important to treat everyone with understanding, dignity, and be able to forgive people. Respect God and keep in mind the following words, “The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the ones who love violence…”(Psalm 11:5).
