‘Sense’ is located in a historic building on the central street of Kyiv near the Kyiv City Council at 34 Khreshchatyk Street.

On the door of the bookstore-cafe we are greeted by a funny and relevant phrase:

 “Here, you can have dogs, cats, gophers, imaginary friends and real friends. In general, you can have anything with us, as long as it is not in Russian.”

 Everyone who visits the bookstore is full of energy and in a positive mood. This establishment impresses with its interior, high ceilings, aesthetic design and pleasant workers that will help you find what you need.

The halls are divided into 2 parts: the first floor with a café, a cash desk and bookshelves with popular novelties and children’s literature. The second zone is a basement, which has 2 functions — a civil defense shelter and the location of other “treasures” of literature and small recreation areas.

Here you can find everything from business literature to art. There is even professional literature for photographers and filmmakers, which is incredibly interesting. A lot of attention is paid to foreign literature (mostly fiction and non-fiction), which is a nice bonus for foreigners who will not only enjoy the atmosphere but also support Ukrainian business and the printing industry.

‘Sense’ offers not only to find “your” book, but also to drink delicious coffee or have a tasty and satisfying snack. If you don’t have time to wait, you can eat quick and incredibly tasty sandwiches.

The Khreshchatyk Bookstore intrigues with its exciting book events. Literary and charity meetings, book presentations and discussions, lectures and club sittings are all very attractive and amusing.

Despite the war, Ukrainians are developing and sincerely believe in the bright future of their country. Support the Ukrainian, read books, learn about yourself and the world around you, and then life will be filled with sense.
