The old town, wrapped in white snow, came alive on New Year’s night. The light of the stars was reflected in the windows of the old houses, and puffs of fragrant smoke rose from the chimneys.

The little girl Marta was standing near the window of an old confectionery. Fascinated, she watched chocolate figurines dance in the window and shine with multicolored lights. Suddenly, the door of the pastry shop opened and an old confectioner with a white beard came out. He winked at Martha and gave her a magical candy. After eating it, the girl found herself in a fairy-tale world where everything was made of sweets.
