From January to September, 45,361 passenger electric vehicles (both used and new) were imported into Ukraine, amounting to $989 million. Of this total, used electric vehicles accounted for 72.2%.

During this nine-month period, 12,619 new electric cars were imported at a value of $334 million, while 32,742 used electric vehicles were brought in for $655 million.

China was the top supplier of new electric cars to Ukraine, delivering 11,100 units. Japan ranked second with 472 vehicles, followed by Germany with 304, the United Kingdom with 247, and Belgium with 214.

The United States led in used electric vehicle imports with 2.6 thousand units. Germany ranked second with 5.2 thousand units, followed by South Korea with 4.2 thousand units, the United Kingdom with 3.2 thousand units, and China with 2.1 thousand units.

In 2023, electric car sales in Ukraine surged 2.8 times, reaching 37,600 units compared to 2022.
