‘Fire of Chornobyl’ is a very powerful book describing the disaster at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant in 1986. The author, Serhiy Plokhiy, tells in detail about the events that led to the reactor explosion, as well as about the tragic consequences it had for people, animals and the environment.

The book is written in a very detailed and understandable way, with a lot of facts and data, as well as personal stories of people who witnessed and suffered from the disaster. A lot of them sound emotional and tragic. The author successfully conveys the atmosphere of that time and the scale of the tragedy.

I recommend ‘Fire of Chornobyl’ for those interested in the history of man-made disasters and their consequences, as well as for those who want to better understand the events that happened at the Chоrnobyl nuclear power plant. This book is important testimony to events that affected the lives of millions of people and the fate of the planet as a whole.
