KyivBookFest lasted 4 days from September 5 to 8. Just like last year, the event took place on Pochaina in the Gorodok Gallery shopping center. The students of Publishing Studies were lucky enough to be at the festival to make a free donation from the group. My groupmates and I went to this event together after lessons to have a good and useful time. Each of us chose fascinating lectures, pleasant to listen to, and then we planned to go to the book fair together and buy new editions, because buying them at the festival is much more fun than buying them in a store or on the website.

It was also amusing to just walk around, look at the stands of publishers, thumb through new books, and to be engaged in interactive activities. There was a special wall at the festival where you could write your favorite book, and the more notes you wrote, the more beautiful the wall looked. On other days, there were also many events: autograph sessions; bloggers came to the festival; stickers with stars to  vote for your favorite author; participation in the lottery; limited editions were offered for the most active shoppers; tarot cards were read.

The atmosphere was festive, cheery and even hilarious! We were energetic; however, we failed to take part in all actions.  All of us learn from our mistakes; it`s not a problem. In the future, we plan to visit all KyivBookFests events. So, don’t miss your opportunity next year!
