(short story)

It was a normal Monday morning when Sara woke up to get ready for work. At night she had a nightmare of being chased by some maniac…Fortunately, somebody saved her…She went about her usual routine: showered, dressed, and had breakfast. As she was about to leave the apartment, she realized she couldn’t find her key. She looked everywhere, but found nowhere. Sara was already running late and began to panic. She couldn’t leave her apartment without finding the key.

She searched her entire apartment again, but still to no avail. She decided to go back to the last night events. She recalled going to the grocery store and then to the gym. On her way to the grocery store, she saw something flickering on the ground. It was her key! She picked it up quickly and was relieved.

As she was walking to the gym, she noticed a manly man walking towards her. He was wearing a hoodie and a suspicious expression on his face. Sara felt uncomfortable and left faster. Suddenly, the maniac grabbed her from behind and demanded that she give him the key. Sara tried to free herself, but the man was too strong. She screamed for help, but no one came.

Just when she thought that was the end, a young man appeared out of nowhere and tackled the assailant. It turned out that the guy was a policeman who was patrolling the area. The attacker was handcuffed and taken away.

Sara was in shock, but she was grateful to the policeman who saved her life. She thanked him and asked his name. The young man introduced himself as Oleksii and said that he was just doing his job. Sara could not believe that a stranger had saved her.

From that day on, Sara realized how important it is to trust your intuition and to be aware of your surroundings and always be prepared for surprises. She never forgot the kindness of the police officer who saved her life and made sure to always show gratitude to those who serve and protect.
