Murder in the Mitten

(inspired by “Murder in the Crooked House” Soji Shimada)

(Derailed Fairy Tale)

That winter morning was bright and sunny. It felt so strange and unnatural at that moment, after mysterious murder had taken place there, in the Old Mans Mitten, in which all of the guests, invited by the Mittens owner, had spent only one night.

For poor Swine that night was the last night in her life.

To Dogs (he was a detective chief inspector) disbelief, almost all guests knew absolutely nothing about that accident. Only Mouse had heard something like bloodcurdling screaming, but she hadnt seen neither murderer nor that Swine had already been dead. The victim was found in a very far-fetched pose right on her berth only in the morning.

Interrogation didn’t help at all. The only thing the detective Dog understood was that no one from the Old Mans Mitten guests couldnt be a murderer. The Old Man also had an alibi – he hadn’t been in the Mitten at the time when the crime had happened. He had been sleeping in his own house…

It was a case of unusual murder in a “locked room”, which the Dog had to solve…
