The Last Test

I stared at the blank test paper, my mind emptier than my coffee cup. That’s when Grysha sneezed, launching his cheat sheet into the air like a paper airplane. It gracefully sailed across the room, landing right on Ms. Petrenko’s desk.

She picked it up, smiled, and said, “Class, today’s lesson is about karma.”

Grysha’s face turned redder than my failed algebra quiz, and for the first time that semester, I was glad I didn’t copy his answers.
