(flash story)

I was returning home from school with my friend. The journey was not long, but it passed through a highway where cars often violated traffic rules.

We stopped at a traffic light and waited for the red man to change to green. When the cars stopped on both sides to let pedestrians pass, we walked at a brisk pace. Suddenly, a car came driving down the straight road at high speed. It was close to us, so we knew it wouldn’t have time to stop. We stared at it like spellbound and could not move. We were panicking, but we couldn’t feel our legs. I closed my eyes and waited for pain, but nothing happened. I opened my eyes and saw that the car was not moving. It was as if it was frozen, it seemed static. I grabbed my friend by the hand, and we ran away from that road to get home. We stopped only when we entered the house. We couldn’t understand what had happened there, but we knew that if we told anyone this story, no one would believe us. Maybe it was a time loop or my Granny`s spell. Who knows?
