There are many picturesque places to visit in Kyiv, which enchant with their beauty and attract the unknown, but only one thing will be special for you and everyone has their own.
Kyiv is known for a large number of parks. Let’s stop at the list of main parks of tourist Kyiv:
Volodymyrska Gorka Park. In past centuries it was one of the most beautiful parks in the city. In the middle of the park, which is a model of landscape art, stands a monument to Prince Volodymyr, the oldest sculptural monument in Kyiv, built in 1853. It turned into one of the symbols of the city.
Natalka Park. The park is located in the Obolon district along the banks of the Dnieper. Its name comes from the eponymous tract, which is located in the park. The total area of the park is about 25 hectares.
Partisan Glory Park is a regional landscape park in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, in which five types of garden and park landscapes are intertwined between three picturesque lakes. The park was established in 1970. In 1994, by the decision of the Kyiv City Council, it was granted the status of a protected area.
Mariinsky Park is planned in a landscape style, occupying 8.9 hectares. The park is very cozy, shady, because old lindens, maples and chestnuts grow here. A large cast-iron fountain was built in Mariinsky Park in 1900, which is still one of its decorations.
Chinese Desert. China is a territory in the southern part of Kyiv, in the Holosiivskyi district and the eastern part of the Holosiivskyi forest. Now it is an archeological reserve located between Myshilovka, Korchuvat and Bagrina mountain.
This is, in fact, one of the most picturesque places in Kyiv. Beautiful nature, interesting landscape, blue lakes, and unforgettable landscapes. This area is known for its willows, which are not the first autumn bathing their branches in the sleepy waters of the lake.
Then the trail leads into fabulous forest spaces. Walking along the paths of the China Forest, you can not ignore the mighty beeches, which live there for more than a decade.
From time to time, when you come out of the shade of the forest, you find yourself over an abyss, which offers an incredible view of the treetops, glades and meadows.
In this area you can meet some forest dwellers: squirrels and moles, crows and hares.
Of course, this is not a complete list of metropolitan parks. In almost every area of the city, as well as on its outskirts, you can find a large number of forest park areas where you can go for a walk. So welcome to Kyiv, the city of green parks and cheery students!
