What Is An Error?

( essay)

For each person, the word “mistake” has its own meaning. For a three-year-old child, it’s a mispronounced word; for a teenager, it’s choosing the “wrong” company; but in the life of an adult, it becomes much more serious.

Here’s a simple example: as we grow up, we face a wide range of career choices, and the most important thing is to make the right decision, because our future depends on it. In all my thirteen years, I haven’t made many mistakes, but some of them have affected my future. Everyone can make mistakes; there’s no one who can avoid them. As folk wisdom says: we learn from our mistakes. A wrong action or decision helps us to stay away from the same mistake in the future! Of course, people try to do everything right the first time, but it doesn’t always work out. However, if you keep working hard and stay focused on your goal, everything will turn out well! Sometimes, other people’s mistakes can hurt us, and we keep thinking about the situation. But! Many are familiar with the quote, “today is already the past,” and we can’t change it. We need to move forward, taking into account the lessons from others.

At the end of their life journey, many people start reliving the most emotional moments of their lives. These could be happy and joyful memories, or sad ones. “I regret not having had the courage to stay true to myself, instead of living as others expected,”—most people, throughout their lives, fail to achieve even half of their plans, and only in the last moments of life do they realize that this was the result of their own choices.

Remember, a mistake is a push toward the right path in the future. And if someone close to you makes a mistake, you should forgive them, because one day, each of us might find ourselves in their place.
