‘What is the difference?’ And its impact. Ukrainian music or russian…

(blog content)

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on for a year now. The majority of conscious Ukrainians have long since given up everything russian, but some people still continue to consume the content of the enemy and say “what’s the difference?”.

Music

One of the most painful topics is music. In the Spotify music application, in the Ukrainian top, russian artists occupy one of the leading places, and this is terrible. This shows that many Ukrainians are sponsoring the war by listening to enemy songs. Songs are monetized, taxes are paid and missiles and bullets are flying at us. Also, because of the russians in the Ukrainian top, Europeans can still confuse us and consider us to be the same people.

Unconscious Ukrainians respond to remarks about russian music: “And what else do we have to listen to? Ваньку встаньку?” (We are talking about songs filled with bairaktarshchyna and sharovarshchyna). But the Ukrainian music industry is developing very much, there are many young bands that create quality music for every taste, in various genres. Personally, I can recommend such bands as: “Бери своє”, “Zwyntar”, “Karna”, “SadSvit”, “Malvy”, “Цвях”.

Bloggers

Things are better in blogging, but there are still quite a few people who continue to watch russian bloggers. Very often, these are children whose recommendations are not filtered by their parents. Some adults also watch enemy videos with a clear conscience, thinking that it has no effect on the state of events. Although there are many cool and interesting Ukrainian bloggers.

Such actions of people cause disgust and misunderstanding. In my opinion, it is worth adding laws that would better control this situation and fine people who still consume russian content.
