Now fake news has flooded Ukraine. There are really so many of fake articles that sometimes it seems that they are produced from some Russian factory. Sometimes fakes are so true that they create problems, scandals and violate the integrity of the state.

To better understand what fakes are, I decided to ask about it on Wikipedia.

Here is what it says: “Fake news – fake or imitation news (manipulative distortion of facts; misinformation), which is created by ignoring the editorial norms, rules, processes adopted in the media to ensure compliance and verification, and which does not withstand any, even superficial, checks on compliance and reality, but, nevertheless, has a powerful impact on the minds of many people. ”

Fake news is like a lie for the whole nation. And this untruth is even progressing. If before the war times there were just words, now they skillfully adjust photo evidence and even video, which increases their “truthfulness.” In my opinion, in addition to Kremlin fakes, there are also Internet ones. When sites instead of advertising just post some news that openly lies with a emotional appeal or simply has a loud headline, you should follow their links and check it. Typically, you can grasp the manipulation and defamation tricks immediately.

Fakes present a real information weapon. Therefore, we must scrutinize any information carefully, filter it and check it for several times.
