Five Tips for Big Spenders

(article – listicle)

The discount season is about to start, so have you already planned hundreds of purchases? Take your time and think carefully! Today I will tell you how to buy everything you need and not be left with one penny in your wallet.

  1. Make a list. It would seem like advice for children but it’s not. It helps to effectively assess your capabilities and identify your needs. Divide your products into categories (clothing and food, appliances and entertainment) and subcategories (urgent, gift, must-have). The thorough organization will help to cross out the extra.
  2. Use the One Week Rule. It is very simple: leave your purchase up in the air (not an crucial one!) for seven days. If you still need this item, then buy it. If not, congratulations, you’ve gotten rid of some product obsession!
  3. Create a piggy bank. You should always save for a rainy day. If you don’t have an additional card yet (or a clay moneybox), feel free to get one, thank yourself later.
  4. Find a flea market. There you can buy your favorite novel for half the price of a new book. Although, in this way you express your opposition to the culture of overconsumption (when things are produced in excessive quantities).
  5. Don’t take credits for trivia. You don’t want to have problems with financial services, do you? Additional loan interest will make it more expensive than the thing you wanted (or just wanted to have).

Additional tip! A lot of what we buy has more to do with impressing others than buying something we really want and enjoy. But this is a false strategy. People judge each other by charisma and talent. You better think about the long-term benefits and drawbacks of purchases. No matter how young or old you are or how little money you have, putting your money into quality products is a wise use of your income. Water your money tree, good luck!
