This creepy mystery resonated with the hearts of thousands of people all around the world. The stumping and sinister disappearance of Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon just shocked the whole touristic industry in April 2014. At that time, two Dutch girls visiting Panama decide to go on a hike in dense tropic jungles and to snap splendid selfies. They decided to do it a day before they had been scheduled to meet a guide for a tour and just got missed the same night. 10 weeks later their remnants and possessions were found down in a stream where the girls had gone hiking.

What creeps me out the most about this disappearance is the pictures that were found on Lisanne’s camera that turned up in these remains. The pictures ranged from the typical nice photos of landscapes and the girls posing with cheery landmarks to cryptic pictures of the ominous darkness as what many assumed that there were attempts to use the flash of the camera as SOS signals for rescuers. Also, there was a photo of Kris’s head back with what possibly looked s like bloody blur by her temple. Just the fact that no one knew what happened to these two unhappy beauties (rape, murder, cannibalism etc) during their vacation time in the jungles is what is the most unsettling about this mystery.

I guess that though the official law enforcement officers failed to determine the exact reason of their tragic death, the amateur detectives equipped with modern appliances and knowledge could keep on solving this horrible crime.
