“At some point, we all look up and realize we are lost in a maze.” What could sound more impressive and believable than quotes from the book ‘Looking for Alaska’? Reading this book, you will not only enjoy the plot, but also involuntarily begin to think philosophically about your life and just life in general.

John Green, the author of the well-known bestseller ‘The fault in our stars,’ released his novel ‘Looking for Alaska’ in 2005. However, this story is relevant even in 2022. This is a young-adult fiction. The book tells us about Miles who knows the last words of almost all famous people; Alaska, no, not the state, but a girl who has, so to speak, a different view on the life; and their friends Chip and Takumi. The plot takes place in a boarding school, where a strict principal watches over every student.

I fell in love with this book from the first page. The book feels unusual, catchy, and philosophical, every new Alaska’s sentence make you think deeper about life. So that I read it twice and even bought the original book in English.

The one thing that I don’t like in this novel is a way I like it so much! Skillfully written characters, each has his or her own highlight. John Green raises many problems in his book: patriarchal attitudes, death, hope, life path, and the most importantly — love. You can’t just read this book and immediately read the next one. No. It will fully absorb you. There are many unanswered questions in this book. Because readers have to answer them themselves. This book is like a philosophy for dummies.

And when you read it, don’t forget to watch the adaptation! It’s cool and full of vibes too.
