What is it like to be a blonde girl? We can often hear jokes about blondes. They are considered unintelligent, but funny enough. This makes these women appear more attractive to men. What is it like to be a blonde girl?

Most women have experienced cat-calling on the streets. Or they were photographed in the subway without their permission. And for some reason it happens more often with blondes.

I have experienced this a few times. It made me smile. Among women, blondes have the highest IQs of 103.02 points. But society considers these women as stupid. Sociologists from Great Britain searched to find out how men treat blonde, brunette and red-haired colleagues. Blondes have always been seen as frivolous and easily accessible, while brunettes have been seen as serious. In 81% of male participants, brunettes caused associations with high intelligence and reliability. You can rely on a dark-haired colleague when it comes to work.

According to Slate Magazine, we can conclude that men find “bimbo” women more attractive. Because men believe that it will be easier in relationships with less intelligent girls and that these women are sexier than others. There is also such a stereotype that blondes are often assumed to have more fun. For example, in a Clairol commercial for hair colorants, they use the phrase “Is it true blondes have more fun?” Some women have reported they feel other people expect them to be more fun-loving after having lightened their hair.

But what I want to remind you, girls, is what the popular country and western singer once said: ‘I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb… and I also know that I’m not blonde.”
