Two Stones

(short story)

In a small village somewhere deep in the forest lived a father and son. They were known for their happy and well-coordinated family. The father always taught his son important life skills and values. One day, when the son grew up and became a young man, the father gave him two stones.

“These stones have a special property,” the father said. “The first stone is your strong spirit and will. The second is wisdom and intelligence.”

The son gratefully accepted the gift and put the stones in his bag. Over time, he grew up and travelled the world, meeting different people and facing different challenges. He always preferred to use his wit and wisdom when facing difficulties and his strong spirit when facing danger.

One day, he found himself in a maze of mountain paths with flying stones falling all around him. He decided to use his strong spirit to get out of this difficult situation. Otherwise, it could have been the end of him.

The son crossed the labyrinth and got out with all the effort of his strong spirit. He then continued his journey and faced numerous challenges that required his intelligence and wisdom.

The stones given by his father were always with him, giving him strength and direction. Thus, the son realised that true wisdom is to use both reason and strength when necessary. He returned home as a wise and strong man, ready to carry on his father’s family legacy and teach others the valuable skills he had learned.
