“Wakey wakey, Cyts, its time to school, swettie!”

“If I hide under the covers, maybe the morning won’t notice me and won’t come,” Cyts thought to herself. However, the morning came.

“It’s time to dress,” said Mom.

“Mum, but I don’t have any clear socks; can I stay at home today?”

“You don’t wear socks, “Mum answered.

After that, yawning Cyts had a breakfast.

“It’s quite hard to be alone, I need a friend,” he hid his little mouse, called Pats, in his tiny box.

“It is time to go, Cyts!”

“Mum, but doors won’t let me out!”

“Pats will help you, kiddo! He is a wee wizard!”

…

“Welcome to our cats school! I’m mister Pushok, and I’m your teacher.”

Mummy hugged her son, “I will come later, don’t worry , everything will be fine.”

“Kittens, it’s our new pupil, and his name is Cyts. Let`s say, ‘Hello’ to him,” said Mister Pushok, starting the lesson,

“Cats are catching creatures; they are smart, dexterous and agile. Wonderful, in one word.”

“Am I wonderful too?” asked Cyts.

“Yes, you too,” smiled Mister Pushok and continued,

“Cats climb trees, drink milk and catch mice!”

“But why are we catching mice?” asked Cyts.

“It’s supposed to be…” answered Pushok.

“But why?”

“Kittens, it’s time for a meal!” shouted Pushok.

Cyts opened his box, and his mouse Pats ran away…

“MOUSE!!!”

All kittens started hunting the mouse, but Pats hid smartly behind the jar.

“Stop!” screamed Cyts.

But nobody heared him.

“Stop! Its time to drink a milk,” said Mister Pushok, but locker doors were jammed…JAMMED!

At this moment, our friend Cyts whispered something said to Pats and…the doors opened!

“Yummy-Yummy!” kittens started drinking milk.

After that, Mister Pushok wrote on the school board, “Cats don’t catch mice at school!”

“Hurrey!!!” all kittens started dancing to celebrate the new motto.

After lessons, Mum came to take her Son back.

“Mum, I have new friends… and…Cats Don’t Catch Mice at school…A wounderful day!

The next day, Cyts woke up again at the crack of dawn. That day he went back to school! His tail was trembling… with delight.
