What is it like to be a student?

(essay)

So, you are a student. Welcome! You have managed to survive several circles of hell, pass your exams, and go all the way through teenage Tartarus, better known to us by the common word “school.” What to do next?

The first and most important thing is not to panic. I know that it can be unspeakably scary, because you literally open the doors to a new world for you, full of new opportunities, people, and, of course, complaints about a difficult, unfair and, nevertheless, exciting life.

However, this does not mean that the horrors themselves wait for you and being led by sessions, judging by the stories of senior students, they will drink all your blood and eat all your nerves.

On the contrary, students` life is unique because it combines seemingly completely opposite concepts. So new friends and acquaintances lurk around in the University classrooms and dorm rooms. The same relates to the so useful skills and experiences so necessary throughout all your life. Unforgettable memories will accompany you until the old age.

I would really like to fully experience the best moments of being a student. However, unfortunately, the coronavirus laughed at this desire and told me to go through the forest lawns and grooves. Therefore, my first two courses were conducted by distance learning. And despite the fact that there were clearly expressed pluses in this, manifested in the ability to sleep a little longer and eat in secret during the couple, there were also several minuses in this, which are still relevant today.

It is extremely annoying that the very principle of distance learning depends on the availability of the Internet and its quality. And it’s pretty inconvenient to learn and do homework when your brother is possessed by a demon in the next room. But the biggest disadvantage of such training is the lack of opportunity to see my fellow students, who have become my real friends over the years.

I am probably most grateful to the university for this. It gave me the opportunity to meet such marvelous people who, in addition to being very nice, are always ready to help and have a great sense of humor. You will definitely not get bored with them, and you can talk about many magnificent topics.

As for lecturers, they can provide us with new material in an accessible and amusing way. They are perfect, especially I can say this when I remember the school teachers who literally dreamed up ways to reduce the number of our nerves in the most painful way.

I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to meet all these people, experience a lot of fascinating and funny situations, and learn new and really riveting information, although I regret, I must admit, it was not always like this, during my entire time studying at the university. It really gave me much more than I could have expected and certainly asked for.
